I've tried this with 5 different game genie codes and have the same result each time. These are game genie codes for Dragon Quest V Japanese and Dejap translation. I used them to give myself the 6 items needed to make all recruitable monsters join you 100% of the time. I wanted to play V again using some cool monsters, but didn't want to have to wait and wait for monsters to join.
